10 years of “VIAOPTIC“, although our experience and history began over 35 years ago.
2012:
VIAOPTIC was successfully audited by TÜV Hessen to the ISO TS 16949 standard.
2011:
The introduction of aluminum PVD coating further enhanced the efficiency and versatility of molded optics applications.

2009:
VIAOPTIC moved to the “Leitz-Park“.

2003:
VIAOPTIC was purchased by ACM Projektentwicklung GmbH (Salzburg, Austria) - part of a strategic investment of the Kaufmann family in Wetzlar’s optical industry.
2002:
VIAOPTIC moved to Ludwig-Erk Str. 7 in Wetzlar. Focus on molded optic components and systems.
1994:
The company received DIN ISO 9001 certification.
1965:
Production of the first molded optic component for the brightest viewfinder of an SLR camera.


1922:
Foundation of the “Feinwerktechnik Wetzlar GmbH”. This is part of the Ernst Leitz GmbH and a supplier of mechanical components.
